We have worked at a number of companies, including Netscape, Microsoft, and Yahoo. In all these companies there are internal mailing lists devoted to discussing random things:
Internal mailing lists:
- In Microsoft, it is called "mini"
- In the now-defunct Netscape, it was "bad-attitude" group
- In Yahoo!, it is "devel-random", "vent", "forsale" Sympa mailing lists
- In other companies, perhaps the watercooler or break room
We believe that "venting" one's thoughts, comments, or revolutionary ideas can be a positive and therapeutic experiences, and benefecial for other people as well. In today's time, whether we like it or not, we spend the majority of our time at work.
To sum it up, we do hope that you can use WurkPal to:
- Share best practices at work
- Express your ideas to top management,
- Ask the "stupid questions" you've been wanting to ask ("where is the color copier in building A"),
- Vent your thoughts about your work
We recently opened the site after squaring a few bugs; we do hope that you will enjoy using the site and encourage your loud coworkers to participate. Please send any thoughts, criticisms, or encouragements to keith[at]wurkpal.com
WurkPal is developed in Symfony PHP framework.

You don't have to access WurkPal from your work networks. You can use the "Boards Directory" to search for entries.
