The goal is so that you can get your latest rumor mill or water cooler conversations online.<br /><br />We have worked at a number of companies, including Netscape, Microsoft, and Yahoo. In all these companies there are internal mailing lists devoted to discussing random things:<br /><br />Internal mailing lists:<br /><br /><ul><li>In Microsoft, it is called "mini"</li><li>In the now-defunct Netscape, it was <a href="http://www.jwz.org/gruntle/rbarip.html">"bad-attitude" </a>group</li><li>In Yahoo!, it is "devel-random", "vent", "forsale" Sympa mailing lists</li><li>In other companies, perhaps the watercooler or break room<br /></li></ul><p>We believe that "venting" one's thoughts, comments, or revolutionary ideas can be a positive and therapeutic experiences, and benefecial for other people as well.
